The anti gay forces did a much better job in raising their campaign money to get their main message across. They ran deceptive ads fooling people into believing that gay marriage would be taught in Maine's state curriculum. Anti gay groups involving in Maine's campaign have already beeing charged with fraud in money laundering. I am suprised that they got away with so much and compromised their beliefs at the end of the day, yet still managed to triumph " morally" over gays. Given all the bigotry and hatred, it would've helped if politicians with significant clout gave a message, saying how it would be wrong to deny gays their civil rights. We can no longer wait for a response from Obama, because he will not champion our cause. We need strong gay leaders at this point that will equal media exposure to the known anti gay voicepieces like Tony Perkins.My apologies on the grammatical errors. My question is why are we losing these battleground states when over half of the population supports gay marriage. I am trying to understand why that is, with all of our resources and people that can get things done
