Hey Everyone, I'm a second year college student and trying to find community service opportunities so I can ultimately apply for scholarships. Small hours are easy to get for instance, you can assist the advisers when they're acquainting the new students with the school, or there's also one time events, and those are also great but I need to get more hours. My gpa is fine, it's just the hours are never enough to make me eligible to apply. The local orgs. are wonderful, however there is usually a time conflict. I'm looking for ANY service based organizations in the state of VIRGINIA.thanks in advance

My wife and I will be moving to VA in the Spring of 2010. We are looking for a place that has all four seasons, as well as people who are friendly and down to earth. We'd like to live in an area that has trendy shops and restaurants, but also some local country flavor. We'll begin having kids in the near future, so we need an area with a good school system. If we had our choice, we'd rather live closer to the mountains than the coast, and we'd like to avoid the traffic from the D.C. area.
